Venetian tapas at its very best, served in a cool and casual environment. Everything we tried was delicious but the frito misto calamari and the butter bean and ham hock stew were really excellent. You can get wine by the litre as well as some delicious pizza breads, a great date spot.

The latest offering from the brains behind Meat Liquor, this is more of a fast food joint than a restaurant so less queuing and quicker sittings. Burgers as good as ever, special mention to the Miami Nice drink (Piña Colada and Margharita mixed together) just don't drive after one.

Ramen has been getting the gastro treatment recently, and this place is one of the best, rich chicken broth noodles full of flavour. The Tantanmen dish with egg and pork is unmissable, as is the soft shell crab with wasabi sauce and they even supply you with splash bibs.

An authentic New York style pizza joint that stays buzzing into the early hours serving excellent slices and infamously strong Margaritas from a slush puppy machine. Try the Thunderballs slice with meatballs, red onion, fontina and bone marrow glaze.

£4 a slice and £3 for a a beer.

The best US-style breakfast in the city, served all day. All the classics are made to perfection but the bacon and banana eggy bread has to be tried, and they also have a muddled Grapefruit Mojito and fresh spicy Bloody Mary's to wash it all down.

£12 per person for a hearty breakfast.

Set in an old Christian Mission, this is our favourite of the "Meat" chain, the vibe is like a boarding school dining hall and the burgers are excellent as usual. The buffalo spiced chicken fingers are also a delight, as is the formidable Largerita, two kinds of tequila topped with beer.
